IT'S A CRIME © Tony king 2002
There's just the sound of the rain
down the hazy old window pane
On a slow boat down the Seine in the moonlight.
And there's a candle burning down
To the tender smoky sound
Of our voices going 'round until dawn.
Now I know it's a crime
To cry for lost time
But how was I to know someday I'd need it.
Im glad we didnt meet before
Back then we didnt know what time was for
Oh but nothing cries out for more
Quite like a beating heart
Every thought of mine you heard
Every single silent word
I was shaken but not stirred until now...
Oh there's a deep wounded blue
That Picasso made for you
For your eyes to look through to my soul
